Drive Bays and Mounts

Hey, I've been working on building my own computer cases for awhile. Basically, I'm looking to build cases with fancy lights, and a custom plexiglass design. However, I'd want to build them myself. Yet, if there are generic computer frames, so I would just have to put 2 side panels on and a front piece, I'd love that, so I wouldn't have to deal with mounts and other stuff. My main goal is keeping cost low. If I have to make my own frames, that's fine. Additionally, if I have to make my own, where can I found out how to make mounts for the motherboard, fans, and PSU? How would I get the drive bays? Any links or advice would help a lot!
