Recent huge FPS drop in sc2.

i5 760 @ 3.8 ghz
radeon hd sapphire 6850 o.c. 900/100
8gb ddr3 1600 ram
1tb sata 3 hd.

I used to play sc2 on extreme settings.

Then all of a sudden, if i go to ultra or extreme, i get over a 50 fps drop.

but if i switch both terrain and other graphic mode to high, i'm back up to steady 60 fps.

I don't know why this happened, or what i can do to fix it. I tried reinstalling video drivers, with a full manual uninstall, from amd support site.

Looking for opinions, ideas, or other people who have the same problem and know how to fix it.

sounds like vram issue, try resetting gpu memory clock to default

I reset to stock gpu settings and still same problem.

I do note that now, i've narrowed it down to two settings that really mess me up
The texture quality has to be on high. if i put it to ultra, and all other setings on very lowest, i still get a 50 fps drop. As well the shaders on high, if on ultra and every other option very lowest, i still get 50 fps drop.

1920x1080 resolution and HD monitor with HDMI cable, (i'm not sure if 1080p) is harder on GPU.
