580 vs 680

Is it worth saving $80 with the 580? i was just wondering for a potential future build.

No.You get almost 30% more performance and gtx680 supports newer technology so go with the gtx680.

I sold my GTX580 2 weeks before the GTX680 came out. It payed for 2/3 of my GTX680. I must say it is a pretty substantial difference. Plus.... don't buy the old gen cards unless you get them for a completely amazing price. If you wait for the 670 to come out, I am sure it will still outperform the GTX580 and cost probably what they do now. Not sure when that is, maybe end of April.
