Well Im moving overseas so I am taking my computer apart and bringing it with me. The parts themselves (PSU excluded) should fit easily enough in my carry on and is probably my safest option. The case however is a different option.
I looked at trusty PC gamers rig build and they advise the fenix merc which I found on a UK site for a reasonable price. On the other hand my parts are by no means top of the line and I tend to overclock a tad with newer games.
With that in mind I then need to upgrade and buy a few (looking at 4) 120 mm fans as only an exhaust is included.

On the other hand one of the best deals looks to be the NZXT Lexa S which comes with 4 fans already.

My question is which option is the best.

1. buy the merc for 28 pounds and additional fans (fan+dust cover coming in at about 5pounds each) which could bring me up to about 50

2. buy a bunch of crappy 1cent fans from ebay to put into the merc

or 3 go balls to the wall (relatively speaking) and get the NZXT at about 65 pounds which comes with 4 fans. oh and it looks sexy.

ps anyone ever had luck buying cheap cheap fans from hong kong on ebay?

I haven't bought fans off of Ebay before, however, my friend has...and my goodness let me tell you they're a piece of c**p   They're horrendously loud without a fan controller, and jeez, one of my friends fan blades came flying off....definitely not worth the money, best save and invest in some nice Corsair case fans.

Also, I would just go balls to the walls and get a nice case from the get-go. The packaging the case comes with should suffice.

I got a horror story about waiting to buy a better case. And so it goes ......... So bought a DIY combo from newegg, very nice components but a shitty case, I was like ehh i can upgrade later. Which i did about 2 months ago i bought a NZXT Guardian, very nice, transferred the guts from the old case and the PC would power of then off repeatedly. Come to find out my wireless PCIex1 card was pushing down too hard on the slot it was in and shorting out the mobo. Now all is good in the neighborhood but i am now a strong advocate of buying a good case the first time around.

"cheap" fans from China/Hong Kong (there is a difference) are usually bad to bareable.
The exception MAY be Yate Loon. Reputable suppliers are preferred, Hong Kong versions may or may not be the same. I've been lucky with these, others have not.
