Hi there have been noticing when im playing bf3 on my pc im getting bad FPS spikes dropping below 15fp even when on all low settings Currently running
Intel pentium g620 2.66 Ghz
4 GB RAM
Asus gtx560ti Direct cu II 1GB
600W psu
bf3 running on 1920x1080

Both cores sit on 100% when in multiplayer so I take it my system is bottlenecking?
I'm thinking of buying this to solve my issues but I don't know if it will fix my problems!?

Solution
IF it's just spiking and not consistently low FPS, then it's very well a CPU bottleneck. You have the right idea, but you dont need to buy all that. Just buy a i5 2300/2400 and replace the G620.
No it cannot be bottlenecking. BF3 will no way use 100% of a sandy bridge CPU at lowest settings. NO-WAY. I bet something is running in the background, could you check processes tab of task manager, sort them by CPU usage and post a screen shot? Make sure to do it when it lags, and check the "show processes from all users" box.

Thanks zero I'm almost certain this is the problem when on bf3 im sitting a constant 100% usage on my cpu I get fine fps when camping but as soon as any explosion etc happens near me I drop like crazy... Does the 2500 use lga1155 chipset?
Thanks in advance.
