Hello,
Just curious, but my desktop had recently crashed for an unknown reason, and i had to fix an issue that i could figure out post-crash because my desktop would blue-screen on start-up every time, and wouldnt supply power to my keyboard/mouse(which i got working now), but my problem, which is just plain stupid to me, is: Is there a certain slot or order to which SATA wires go where? and then same goes for the little PSU JUSB cables aswell, which seem in the right slots, but the little alarm will still go off.

More about : sata connections

No, and that applies to both the SATA data cables and the SATA power cables from the PSU. They're all universal, and it shouldn't even really matter if you did something like swap the SATA port used on the motherboard with the HDD and ODD, for example.

Based on the few symptoms you reported, I'd say it sounds like you've got a motherboard on the way out.
