Additional Comments: I would like it to be quiet but it's not that big of a deal

So far I'm thinking of something like this

MSI Z77A-G45 ATX LGA1155 Z77 $122.79
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=28220BD7502&v...

ASUS DRW-24B1ST 24X SATA DVD Writer OEM Black $19.24

Coolermaster Haf 912 Black Mid Tower ATX Case $59.23

Western Digital Caviar Green 750GB SATA3 $86.74
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=16950DR9778&v...

Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 XMP $54.61
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=12410BD7015&v...

Antec HCG-620M 620W ATX12V Modular SINGLE-RAIL 48A 80PLUS $109.99
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=16950AC8787&v...

Intel Core i5 3570K $234.79
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=12200BD0768&v...

Windows 7 $95.33
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=12850SW2113&v...

EVGA GeForce GTX 670 $416.88
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=16950BD2721&v...

Total $1199.6

I have never built a computer before so I don't know if these parts will work together. Are there cheaper parts that are a better value than what I have? I'm trying to get the price to around $1000. Is the 670 too much? I want to be able to play bf3, anno, and skyrim on max settings with at least 40fps.

So is it possible to save some money anywhere?

1: i would get some lower voltage ram. 1.65v is a bit too high for intel. some good ram comes from mushkin blackline, crucial ballistix sport, corsair (although they have tall heatsinks, you can get the low profile), and certain g-skill kits.

2: with the gd45, you will not be able to SLI in the future. if you are to get msi, get the gd65. if not, get the asrock extreme4 or the gigabyte z77x-ud3h

3: there are cheaper cases such as the antec 302 or the antec one.

4:xfx 750 core edition is 79.99 after rebates. you will lose modularity for a cheaper price

5: dont get green drives. they are pretty dam slow for only 20 cents of power saved. a plain 7200rpm will do

heres a build to take in consideration. its about 30 bucks more
