HOT PSU???

Iv just changed the power supply in my build and it seems to be running hot as the fan speed goes to max every few mins or so....

Build is an AMD X3 720BE
ATI HD 6850 1Gb
4 x 1Gb Ram DDr2
1 tb HD samsung spinpoint

Is this enough for my system?

I used to have a 700W OCZ PSU which im taking for my new build

More like this an utter trash of a PSU. This psu is typical of why Coolermaster gets such hatred for its psu. That psu is low quality, most likely overrated 400w unit , old design with the red switch on the back, and highly inefficient.

Switch it out for a better one from Seasonic, Corsair, XFX, Antec , and select other well reviewed power supplies.

500w is fine, as long as its a good brand. coolermaster, unfortunatly, sucks.

never used an ocz supply before. i would reccomend an antec or corsair.
