Hi all,
I have recently been looking at building my own gaming PC and I was wondering how big a power supply I will need.

My system (so far)
Processor- i5 3570k
MotherBoard- AS Rock extreme 4 z77
RAM- 8GB Corsair Vengeance
Graphics Card- Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 Ghz edition OC 2GB
CPU fan- Cooler Master 212 Evo
Case- Antec Three Hunded Two
HDD- Western Digital Caviar Green 1tb

How much power will I need and are there any good makes of power supplies that you would reccomend? I have been looking at Corsair as they seem to be high quality and reasonably cheap. I am on a budget of £50-£60 and would like to overclock my Graphics card and possibly my CPU.
Thanks :)

Thanks guys :)
I will probably go for 650 watt one as I want enough power to overclcok my system slightly.
On a side note how well do you think my system will run the latest games like BattleField 3 and Far Cry 3 (when it is released)?

You're welcome :)

And to be honest, a 550w PSU will allow you to overclock both the CPU and GPU, however, if you would like some assurance that you can run any GPU in the near future, then a 650w is the way to go.

Yes, your system should be able to play those games perfectly @ 1080p :)

You should run BattleField 3 smoothly with your rig -- get a SSD as soon as you can -- you won´t regret that!
