Well i have to get a new motherboard with socket type 775 and i have a Intel Pentium Dual E2200 2.20GHz CPU, and with the new motherboard it goes from ddr2 ram to ddr3 ram...would the ram effect the performance of the cpu at all or would it work fine?

are you saying that there are both types of RAM supported on this board? Or that they range in use from some using DDR2 and some use DDR3?

It depends on what you are using the PC for, if its for RAM heavy apps, then definitely go with DDR3. But really, DDR3 is faster and cheaper so you should just get a board that supports it anyways.
