Overclock gone wrong, Card broken?

Last response: in Graphics & Displays

Hey guys, Earlier today I ran cinebench, I wanted to get a better score so I upped the core clock on my HD 5770 to 900mhz and the Memory clock to 1350mhz, I had read online that this was an average overclock on this card, I clicked run on cinebench and the screen went blank, after ten minutes i booted back up and everything up seemed fine, just 10 minutes ago i went onto Saints row 3 which before i was getting 40fps on ultra but now its unplayable and averaging at about 6fps. Have I broken my card? Please say I havent

Thanks in advance

This is how some amd/ati cards tend to fail. Can you confirm the clocks and volts as they are now? Chances are the power vrm overheated and a fault developed. I've seen enough posts over the past few years here of other having the same issue before.

I know but my friend was getting a better score in the opengl so i wanted to beat him, I just ran the preset 1280x720 bench mark on msi kombuster and despite being held back by a cpu bottleneck my score was still reasonably good compared to other peoples with the same card but in games it still lags like hell at about 10 fps
