Hi,

Not sure if this is specific to the mobo but my Asrock Extreme6 isn't keeping the date and time after a power off. Is there a general troubleshooting for this that someone can recommend? I can't find anything specific for the mobo. I've updated to v2 of the asrock UEFI utility as well.

Any recommendations would be great.

Thanks

Check the mobo battery.

Would that involve just replacing it or is there something else I can do to check it? All settings are being kept.

You could check its voltage with a multimeter I guess.

If all settings are being kept but not time that sounds seriously weird though, it's not like the settings could magically remain if the battery failed.

The settings could remain, in NVRAM. The time is constantly changing, so it can't be saved that way. I'd just replace the battery (most likely a CR2032) for $2-$3.

Hm I guess that must be it.
