Wow, wonder how much EA paid them to score it over 9.0?

http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/driving/burnoutrevenge/review.html

Oh and just for the KillZone troll...

"Both the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions look fantastic, but if you're
choosing between the two, the Xbox version is the one to get. Visually,
the game's crisper on the Xbox. Outside of graphics, the Xbox version
has a much cleaner online experience, free from the hassle of creating
or maintaining an EA-specific login. Plus, the analog triggers on the
Xbox controller give you better control over your vehicle. It's still
an amazing PlayStation 2 game, of course, but given the choice, you're
better off with the Xbox version."

The fact that it's an Xbox game and they actually gave it a decent
score... There has to be payola involved. I'm not saying it's not a
great game... I'm saying that Gamespot rarely gives Xbox games 9.0 and
higher ratings.

OK but Burnout is a really bad choice of a game to pick on considering
Gamespot gave Burnout 3 :Takedown for the XBox a "95". Your EA hatred is
showing moreso than your claim of Gamestop's bias towards XBox games.

I just got my demo disc of Burnout Revenge, and I'll tell you this...
Burnout 3 graphically was one of the most underratted games last year.
After playing the demo for the last few days, EA stepped up and made
this game experience so much more. The addition of crashbreaker during
race mode is awesome, and I hope you will be able to do this online. I
can't wait to crash and blow those up around me so they don't gain any
ground.

Yes I am looking forward to that feature. Although in likelihood, most
drivers will be so way ahead of me that I would be blowing myself up only
:)

I dunno...I hope one has to earn them or something. Otherwise, they'll
be overused.

That's what I'm afraid of. It will make getting aftertouches too easy.

Ha, Ha, Ha... I have a PS2 and an XBOX, and it's obvious you are the
idiot...

First of all, how can any PS2 game have better graphics than the XBOX?
It's impossible when the XBOX has a better graphics engine and can show
much more colors on screen and in time span per second.

Second I own a 67 in Mitsubishi HD in my house, and the XBOX
explosions, spark effects, blur and reflection on the cars is tight as
hell, The HD Surround sound is also a lot better on the XBOX.

I doubt you will get many arguments there

Now that is just an example of someone being too stupid for their own good.
EA used to be the kings of enhancing the PS2 graphical output at their games
while letting the Xbox version of the same game suffer. On top of that,
there are many PS2 games that look better than certain Xbox games. A game
like ICO for the PS2 has graphics that very few Xbox games have truly
surpassed and almost none at the time it was released. Not all Xbox games
utilize the graphics engine to its fullest extent so they are not
AUTOMATICALLY better.

You'd look a lot less like an idiot yourself had you just left your middle
paragraph out. I am really happy that you have such a gigantic TV "in your
house" (really interesting that you told us it was in your house as opposed
to the garage or at a friend's). I also believe that the Xbox version
probably does have better graphics than the PS2 version. The problem is,
most die-hard gamers don't even buy 2 versions of the same game so they
usually lie and say they saw it at a friend's for comparison. There is no
way on Earth someone daft enough to say "It's impossible when the Xbox has a
better graphics engine" would even think to at least come up with that lie
because you sure as hell didn't play both versions. In the future, either
lie or save the technical stuff for the people that actually know because
that was the dumbest troll response (response TO a troll) I have heard in a
looooong time.

Why does the middle paragraph make me look like an idiot... I'm an old
school gamer (38 yrs old) with two boys who live with my Ex. Most of
the time I have to buy two copies of games so we can play on XBL
together when they spend nights at their mother's house. When they come
stay with me I usually buy two copies of games (one for each system) so
I don't have to hear them argue over taking turns.

The reason why I mentioned my setup is because some games are made to
be played in certain situations, and you can appreciate Burnout Revenge
a lot more over a widespan as compared to a smaller span. If I wanted
to be a troll I would have linked the pargraph to my website.

I'm just guessing here... but the bit about the Xbox displaying more
colors per second? :^)

p.s. What's with the ICO love? I picked it up cheap and it was
interesting up until the point where it got monotonos. It kinda
reminded me of that old school Genesis/Sega CD game where the black
blobs came out of the ground to getcha... What was that called again?
Hang on... now that I think about it, it might be a PS1 game... Done by
the same people who did "Out of this World" and "Flashback" or in the
same style at any rate... Damn... I'm going to have to go back through
the ol' collection. This one is bugging me.

Read the issues that I addressed. It had to do with one statement in
particular.

Gamespot (or the fatboy crew) is as biased against the Xbox as they
come.

Gamespot used to be very biased towards XBOX, until they made all that
money off of the used XBOX and Halo 2 sales.

Gamespot is really pushing the Xbox 360, and one of the reasons why is
due to the fact they are going to get a good percentage of the sales in
the malls since they bought EB out.

Not the game gameplay but the fluidity of the graphics vs. what the PS2 had
achieved to that point.

Didn't they make that into the PS2 game Apocalypse Now? :)
