Ok so I own this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... a 6950 right now. Can I buy a 6870 and crossfire them? here is the one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... I was thinking of if I can. I am pretty sure they aren't a match since they aren't the same model so most likely I won't be able to. but kinda interesting.
Also, my second question was already mentioned. Do they have to be the same model I.E. 6950, 6870 etc.?

I would, but they don't sell my specific model anymore. At least this other one looks identical to my current card.

it doesn't have to be the exact model like 6950 twin frozr ftw omg limited edition, any other 6950 will work fine...
mind though that the cards will be running at the same clockspeeds when crossfired, so if one of the cards is factory oc model , it would mean thet you'd have to oc the other one as well or lower the clocks so they match
