Hello,
I need help with video card choice.
Main use will be DAW and Photo/ Video editing. With some light Maya 3d usage. Some gaming on occasion...not worried about framerate tests

Build is refit after MB breakdown, so I will be using all the old pieces except for new.
MB p67/Z68
i5 2500K CPU
32 GB 1600 Ram

Video Card needs to handle 2 26in monitors. price needs to be under 350...closer too 250 would be the best.

Thanks

Hey,

I would go with the Nvidia Quadro cards for CAD, and photo editing, they have 10bit display support, and they are optimized for that kind of work. Do you use 10bit displays? Look at some of the Nvidia quadro's, like the Quadro 600 or 2000. OR the AMD Firepro cards. The Quadro's will handle 2 monitors, and I have tried some gaming on a Quadro 600, and on medium-low settings it will play games.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.

Ive never had really good luck with quadro cards in the past. Drivers always worked well with one app, but were buggy with another. I know others who swear by them though.

Because Ill be using the system for so many different tasks I went with a semi fast GPU.

I found an open box evga 560 ti for a great price. So well see if it was a mistake to settle for gameing card for DAW and photoshop work.
