How many fans can I run?

My system will be running inside an Aopen HX08 ful tower case with a 300W PS.

Now I have 3 x 80mm case fans. For starters I'll be using the front, lower intake and two rear upper exhausts + hsf and PS fan.

Add to this a Radeon 64 DDR & a PIII 1 GHz & 3 x 40Gb HDDs.

It is fine to power all this from the 300W PS?

Possibly (depending on the brand), but you're very possibly going to run into problems. Too bad anything over 300w is so much more expensive.

Problems you will probably face will be the noise the fans are emitting...also what is your system temperature?. The ideal temperature will be approx 30 degrees. But if you are a powerhorse, you may wanna add in peltiers for SERIOUS cooling :)

Peltiers generally cause more problems than they solve, unless you know what you're doing.

<font color=blue>I won't say that you can run everything you plan on running, cuz it depends on more than just what you mentioned.

<font color=purple>But note this.<font color=blue>
80mm fans don't consume much power at all. usually less than 2 watts. I have two Sunon 120mm @108 cfm and they consume 6.8 watts each. So it would take a lot of fans to be te requirement for an upgrade. However <i>note: I am not an expert</i> your major problem will likely be bad power fluctuations from a cheap 300w ps. If your so cost concience to avoid a 400w, it is likely you didn't buy a quality 300w.

Also, note that<font color=red> more fans=more noise

 <i><font color=blue>on company time....</i>

I think that you'll be fine.
Like they posted above, 80mm fans take ~2 watts a piece.
Mine all take 1.75 and they push a lot of air compared to others I've seen.
My low RPM 120mm takes 5 watts I think.

Bottom Lines:
Fans aren't going to make you run out of juice.
A PIII system can be pretty damn decked out with 300 watts.

My PSU is built for quietness, so I'd reckon its not that crappy.
My case fans each consume 0.9W

Here's where I've bought them from.
