With more investigation I'm becoming more and more dumbfounded. Its like my CPU has just changed itself into a new model. A model that AMD has never made (to my knowledge). Im not even sure how this could have happened as my core temp was around 45c (might have hit 50c for like a second). I have never heard of such a thing. Anyone out there got any info on whats going on here?
yeah the CPU-Z still reads it as a 955 but its the only thing outside of my BIOS that does. I was being dumb and using other software. Anyways problem remains. The 955 BE is a 4 core chip and mine is only reading 3. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2527008
Search 'msconfig' in the start menu and press enter, go to the boot tab, go to advanced options, on number of processors, set it to 4 press okay and restart and see if it worked.

I tried that and it would only display 3 cores. Had to go into BIOS and clear CMOS and then reinstate the core manually. Credit on this one goes to truegenius. Thanks for the help though.
