Hi there,

as per title, I'm looking for a replacement for my 5850.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This week

BUDGET RANGE: No fixed budget, but I'm trying to stay under 350 Euro.

USAGE: Gaming (Battlefield 3, Skyrim, various MMOs (not WoW!))

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: ATI HD5850 Toxic, 750W PSU (probably)

OTHER SPECS: Core i5 Lynnfield, 16GB DDR3 RAM. At the moment I don't remember my MoBo model unfortunately (I'm at work, can't check now).

PREFERRED WEB SITE FOR PARTS: www.monclick.it, www.nexths.it, www.ebay.it
COUNTRY: Italy

PARTS PREFERENCE: I've been using ATI cards for the past 5 years, but for budget reasons only. No real preference.

OVERCLOCKING/CROSSFIRE: Nope

MONITOR RES: 1920x1080

ADDITIONAL INFO: I just want to run BF3 (and Skyrim) on very high setting. Also, a high framerate in crowded MMO areas would be good.

Any advice would be awesome. I was thiking about a 7850 or a 7950. The price difference of those two is quite significant, and I was wondering if it's worth it.

Thanks a lot!

I agree. If you have no limit go with a 680. That thing is going to run ur system for years. 680 with handle any game that is GPU demanding. As for your MMO needs,a good GPU is good but most MMOs run more off of the CPU. The i5 is wonderful for MMOs however if you want an increase in FPS in MMOs you would want to overclock that i5 with an aftermarket cooler.
