Additional Comments: This is a general gaming PC. I want some longevity, so I'd like to make sure there is as much room for expansion as possible. I intend to use the PC for Skyrim on the LCD in my living room. This article from kotaku set some benchmarks for Skyrim, and it's led me to think that the Radeon HD 6950 might be a good fit, but that's just my novice conjecture. I'm a blank slate. Can you guys help?

  2. This is something I had in mind for myself. You would be able to save some money if there is a microcentre nearby and you can pick up the processor there :-

You can play around with it also. Amazon has some parts cheaper than newegg at the moment like the chasis.

Edit :- I missed out the Windows 7 pricing. I have my copy already lying around so didn't include that.
