Good GPU for 300 dlls. +/- 20dlls

What is a good graphics card for 300'ish dlls that will last about a year bebore i can SLI/Xfire them. Im not looking for ultra settings just high or medium high. I'm building a system and currently have two 550 ti's with 2 gigs on them. did not buy them they where free and I think they can run games almost ok just planning for a longer term card later this year. (but plan to upgrade during summer). I know the gtx 680 would be a nice card but its been so elusive and some retailers are putting them really high on price jsut for that. Any alternatives?

for playing at medium high specs (at resolutions equals or under 1920x1200) you will be ok with SLI 550 ti, if you are going to wait some time probably 680 prices will drop, it is a very good card at soon the price will be fixed and the market will have plenty of them so i would say, wait for it.

the other option is going with 7970 but the performance is lower than 680 so i would say, wait for 680's to be fully reachable for your location/money.

Thank you for response. I'm really waiting for GW 2 ..diablo 3 its just a distraction untill that game lol ..currently on SWTOR that plays amazingly good on my old computer at medium res. and shadows off no AA. Just not pvp areas. (Amd phenom 9850 BE and one 550ti with 6 gigs of ram). Currently waiting on all the parts to put my new system together a 2500k with 550's on sli. Pretty good bump from my low end Galaxy gt 440 I had before. LOL. Wich was for playing WoW at ok res.
