Well here is your MB according to Intel. I don't see the specs for some reason but it sure dosen't look to me like there are any PCIe slots on there. If that is true that this would not work.

Thanks,
Tim

Unless that black thing behind the heatsink is a PCIe slot. For some reason Intel's site is not showing the specs tab for me.

Thanks,

Yes it has a pcie slot i currently have a geforce 8400 se.

My concern is about my power supply as it came with the cabinet, but im told this card is a low power card.

Also im concerned whether my system will bottleneck the card.

The board has a pcie 1 slot but im told thats not a problem, would also like some comments on that....

thx for the fast replies

It is low power card, it won't use much more than 8400 SE, so your power supply will surely run it without problems. HD 5670 isn't high performance card, so your computer will not bottleneck it either - Core 2 Duo e7400 could run more powerful cards without bottlenecking.

What is your budget? If you want to get the best get 7750 which is almost 2x the performance of 5670 and same low power requirement.

Just be aware that the Intel DG41RQ has either a PCI-e 1.0 or 1.1 slot.

There has been a few cases where a PCI-e 2.1 card does not work in a PCI-e 1.0 or 1.1 slot. The Radeon HD 5670 you have chosen is likely a PCI-e 2.1 card since the PCI-e 2.0 versions have been sold out everywhere. During the middle of the production cycle of all Radeon HD 5000 series AMD switched from PCI-e 2.0 to the newer PCI-e 2.1 standard. PCI-e 2.0 cards are fully compatible with PCI-e 1.0 and 1.1 slots.

The Radeon HD 7750 is a PCI-e 3.0 card. Technically it should work in a PCI-e 1.0/1.1 slot; like all PCI-e 2.1 cards should. However, most gamers currently have motherboards with PCI-e 2.0 slots... therefore, there has not any reported incidences of a PCI-e 3.0 card working / not working with a PCI-e 1.0/1.1 slot.
