What cpu will work for my motherboard

Hey all, I currently have a BIOSTAR Group N68PA-M2T motherboard on a custom built system. I'm wondering if the AMD Phenom II X4 965 will work with this board. I'm currently running an AMD Athlon 64 x2 6400+ on it. It's an alright processor but I'm wondering if it would be possible for me to upgrade this processor, if not the Phenom II then what else would work. I'm capable of also replacing the motherboard I just don't want to deal with reinstalling Windows and all that jazz. Thanks again in advance, I've been wondering this for a while

Your board and processor are AM2, and the Phenom II's are all on the AM3+ socket. Gotta upgrade the mobo before you can swap the CPU to anything modern.

assuming its an AM2 board, its probably not going to work. AM3 processors are designed to work on AM2+, AM3, and AM3+ motherboards.
