First Build

I have been watching videos and reading about building a PC and I have come up with a a build and just want some help on it. I want something that can run games on at least High and be able to last a couple years before having to upgrade again.

I'm looking at a budget of between $1000 and $1200, if possible.

Here is what I came up with, I'm sure there is somethings that can be changed/improved.

  1. I should have also added that it will probably be a couple months before I can actually buy all the parts so I have plenty of time to figure out how to get the most for the money.
  2. There is nothing in your parts list.
  3. Here is just a list then.

    CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219)

Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V LX ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($125)

    Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($55)

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($99)

Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 560 1GB Video Card ($190)

Case: Corsair 400R ATX Mid Tower Case ($100)

Power Supply: Corsair 600W ATX12V Power Supply ($90)

    Optical Drive: HP 1270i DVD/CD Writer ($24)

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Full (32/64-bit) ($180)

  4. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. That system is fine. These prices will be different by the time you are ready to by something though. Also some of those prices are a little high. I have seen that gpu card for about 50 bucks cheaper at fry's electronics. So keep shopping around.
  6. Ok thanks. I was going to look around I was just wanting to get some opinions on the parts I picked out.
