Will this q6600 work with my mobo

i have a gigabyte ga-g41-combo mother board with an core 2 duo e7200 @2.53 ghz, with a 400watt psu, 4gb ram, 2tb sata hdd, stock intel cpu fan/heatsink running windows 7. my mate has a core 2 quad q6600 @2.44ghz that uses 105w and his motherboard caps cpu power at 95w, i told him i might be able to trade him if my mobo supports the processor. does the q6600 105w compatible with my mobo?
