Choosing between computers

Ive been looking for a computer that will be used to play games such bf3 maxed out and video editing, 3d modelling with programs such as after effects and 3d max. I don't know which is better for money,gaming /video editing. Any help is appreciated

Well obviously Comp 2 because it has better hardware and more expensive. I kinda go against that last gen card though, You may consider 7850 which performs just slightly slower than GTX 570 while costing less and much much better efficiency. Above that, there is a 7870 which you may consider, it cost a bit more but performs like GTX 580 with very good efficiency like 7850 (it's little brother). OR, wait for Next-gen Nvidia card with the price around this.

The thing is, Exactly what Case and PSU are you planning to get? It doesn't make much difference, but just make sure you're getting the good brands (especially PSU).

And Lastly, why do you pair H67 with K processor? I am really thinking that you're going to overclock, BUT, you don't want to pair it with H67. H67 is not a great overclocking board, If you want, get a Z68 or P67, both are great overclocking board. If it's too pricey, get off the 2700k and replace it with 2600k. I don't think it's any worth it to go over to the 2700K while you can get a P67 or Z68.

I would say niether of those systems are very good from the value and parts perspective.

but choosing between those 2 systems, you should definately choose the second one even tho its $200 more.

Well they are both pre made pc's as I dont feel comfortable building one. I will be over clocking so I guess ill get the ps7. Would you say that comp 2 would handle 3d modelling/editing in after effects well? Thanks for your help.

As previous posters noted, get either Z68 or P67 motherboard. H61m and H67 are bad when paired with k-series processors.

Wait up... Why my friend??? Building a PC is not that bad, and you will be saving money for sure. And I'm not sure if you can overclock or not though.

Please do yourself a favor and build your own. I am 14 and can build a computer. If you are worried about not being able to do it head over to newegg and watch their video on how to build your own. Also if you are ever confused the folks here at Toms will help you out. Also as others have said dont get the h67 if you are getting an unlocked processor, but please do yourself a favor and buils it yourself.

I realize you won't svae much with this build but you will get better prices if you shop around. Also this includes a high quality case and motherboard, and most of these parts have a 3 year warranty standard so if anything breaks within your first couple years it will probably be replaced free.
