Hello,
I'm looking to get a new case to replace my existing one so I just wanted to ask: which is better overall? The 600t or the HAF XM? Price point is not really a big concern

Thanks in advance

More about : corsair 600t cooler master haf

The 600t. Although the XM has great features and is a nice case, the corsair is of higher quality and should be much quieter.

I would pick the 600T due to the fact that I absolutely hate how the HAF series look

Though, I would personally choose something like a NZXT Switch 810.

NZXT cases are pretty good looking and I was a bit interested on the phantom but the one I have now is the Guardian 921rb (not a bad case to be honest). So judging from what you guys said I think I'll go with the 600t although the airflow on the HAF XM is pretty nice :p

Oh, and on a side note: can a 650w PSU power a gtx 660ti, an i5-3570k and about 5 fans (probably the ones that come with the 600t and two more)?

you can put the 660Ti's in sli and you would still have power(although not that much)

Corsair 600T - 9.00 rating
http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_conten...

HAF XM - 9.1 rating
http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_conten...

Corsair 500R - 9.25 rating ... and $90 on newegg (down from $140)

As for the PSU

http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt...

Quote:
Maximum Graphics Card Power (W) - 150 watts
Minimum System Power Requirement (W) - 450 watts

So, nVidia saying 600 watts for 2

Here is Guru3Ds power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 660 Ti - On your average system the card requires you to have a 450~500 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 660 Ti SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

If you are going to overclock GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina.

I think I'll go with the 600t since it's more (obviously) beautiful than the HAF and I don't think I'll need that much airflow.

And thanks for the replies about the PSU, I was a little worried :p  I'll just overclock the CPU and GPU just a little bit.

Sounds like a good plan. Make sure your PSU is decent. I would avoid CM and go with a TX650 or HX650 to go with the 600T. Have fun.

Well I like the look of my HAF XM case.

It works great with my needs.

As for the best case? Get the one that you like looking at most. All 3 do a great job cooling.

I got a 600T, great for Cable management although its cooling potential is pretty bad. No fans on the GPU side unless you get the fan mesh version.
