Graphic card recommendation

hi so my budget is $370 and my current rig is

phenom x4 980

am3+ mother board

4 gb ddr3 ram

530w power supply


and I want to know what the best graphic card is for my budget. I am thinking about buying radeon 7870 but i heard there is going to be a new gtx 600 series that is better than 7870 and it will be cheaper.

Right now the HD 7870 is almost as good as a GTX 580 for only $360 no information about the upcoming GTX models, Also the GTX 680 is hardly now to find.

We can,t know for sure yet about the 600s vs 7870 but since 680gtx went live such a cheaper price over the 7970 you might as well wait a little to see how will perform the mid range 600s and the price. We can expect the 7870 price to drop since a 680gtx is only +140$ over it and almost twice as fast.

Edit: I,m not sure if a 7870 will fit with that PSU but someone else might know bether about it then me.

Just to know, your PSU 530Watt, its 80+? or generic?
And dont think too much, get the 7870 its a brutal "performance vs price" gpu.
Whit that Phenom plus 4GB ram you will be just fine for many years.

Hmmm, the HD7870 appears to require a 500W PSU, which of course means one actually capable of producing 500W. What brand and model is yours?

what's your monitor/res-opsys and what do you use the machine for ?

i have a lg flatron e2250t full hd. and I only play games at 1920 x 1080 resolution.. and i use my comp mainly for pc gaming
