Asus GT 440 DDR5 vs Gigabyte 6670 DDR3

Hello,which one of this cards is better:

Asus GT 440 1 GB DDR5 http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/ENGT440DI1GD5/

Gigabyte 6670 1 GB DDR3 http://www.gigabyte.com.au/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3832

I know 6670 has a more powerful procesor,but is this ddr5 memory of gt 440 enough to make the difference,by looking at the price it should be right ???

That bench mark is for the GT 440 1.5 GB ddr3 and the 6670 1 GB ddr5. It should be just the opposite. How ever the 6670 1 GB ddr? what ever is a better card than the nVidia GT 440.

And here are a couple of forums that state the same thing. I believe the 440 has two things that are better than the 6670 and one is rendering and the other is AA. But the 6670 is the better card.

I think that auntarie was going on that info in that link he posted and if you missed it it would look like the 440 was a better card. When infact there are only two things that are better. It is a easy mistake even I almost missed it.

The difference in memory 1gig and 1.5 will not have anything to do with performance. It is the clocks that spell preformance. The memory comes into play when you are trying to run more than one monitor.

It also plays in resolution if is is above 1920 x 1200. So at low resolution it will not hurt anything. The only thing that the GT 440 has going for it is the rendering and AA. The ddr3 or ddr5 won't affect anything.

All other accounts point out the 6670 is better than the GT 440.

So 6670 ddr3 should edge out this gt 440 even though it's ddr5 and actually more expensive,well i guess it's going to be radeon,sorry nvidia ,thx for replies,cheers !!!
