Interesting Question

Now that my hard drive resides on ata100 controller, what if I plug in my dvdrom into the primary ide channel (make it a master)? Will it make faster? Or it's not possible?

It won't make any difference.
However, it's nice to have multiple IDE devices on separate channels if possible.
