Overheating Laptop

Hey guys my girlfriend just got a new laptop...
She trys to play battlefield 3 and can for around 40minutes then it freezes.
Im guessing its overheating problems since her cpu is around 100c and the gpu is around the same.

SPECS:
Processor: Intel Core i7-2637M 1.70 GHz 4MB Cache
Chipset Model: HM77 Express
Standard Memory: 10 GB DDR3
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 1GB

Replace original thermal paste on CPU and GPU with something better.
Replace contact pads between CPU & GPU and heatpipe with copper or other material with high thermal conductivity.
Buy a cooling pad.
