Amd e-350 - v slow

I have always been AMD fan but very disappointed with e series mobile cpu. My notebook has e-350 dual core 1.6ghz cpu and it is always struggling with 90-100 % cpu usage. My other laptop has intel celeron b815 1.7 ghz cpu and it does everything with ease. I dont understand why amd will be so agonizingly slow.

Secondly, how much of performance difference will be b/w intel b970 and b815 ? I was looking for a comparison chart.

The n350 is a low-power netbook CPU intended to (sort-of) compete with Intel's Atom.

but it is still 1.6 ghz dual core and intel celeron b815 is also 1.6 ghz, is there some other difference ? b815 does everything which amd does not

The N350 is a 18W ultraportable part that has no L3 cache with many corners rounded off to reduce power at the expense of performance.

The b815 is a 35W part with 2MB L3 cache based on the Sandy Bridge core. It is effectively a massively under-clocked i3 with HT turned off.

They are two fundamentally different critters.

Basicly what he meant to say is these two processor's are suited for different markets.The Intel Processor is much higher-end (expensive).

At the very least, they do not belong in the same performance segment.
