Hi,
I am going to be building a computer. My specs are:
1) asrock z68 pro3 gen3
2) i5 2500k
3) some decent ram (2x4gb 1600mhz)
4) win 7
5) gtx 560 ti 448
6) 1tb hdd
7) 60GB Samsung 830 ssd

BUT I have no idea what to do for the PSU. Do these components come with the cables (I couldn't find any information on it)? Should I get a modular PSU or a non-modular? What wattage do I need (is 500w enough or do I need 650+?).

thanks in advance,
Fin

500 W would be enough as long as you plan on sticking with a single GPU build. I recommend an xfx core edition 550W.

No, they will not come with cables except the motherboard. You should have enough cables though included with the MoBo.

The only difference between modular and non-modular is the ability to choose the cables to plug-in. Modular will be more expensive. If you don't mind the price increase, by all means get the modular.

Modular is better because you can manage your cables better which will also have the added benefit of reducing heat and improving air flow in your case. Other than that, performance is similar.
