Are there any compatibility issues with my build?

Here are my specs I was wondering if there were any issues such as compatibility, enough power, or anything else?

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM
Case: Rosewill Blackbone Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Data HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
SSD: Corsair Force Series 3 CSSD-F60GB3A-BK 2.5" 60GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (this is just to boot up windows on is it big enough?)
GPU: GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB
PSU: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 650W
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Motherboard: ASUS P8H77-V LE LGA 1155 Intel H77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit OEM

This is a mid-range build for my budget which is $1400. All these items + tax come to a total of $1,255.34 I'm not sure if this is with all the rebates or not though. Again if I have any issues or you have any suggestions please comment, thanks!

More about compatibility issues build
  1. 1: get a antec 302 case or antec one. they have better build quality
2:im prety sure that the seagate drive is faster. it depends on the price though
3: personally i think 60gb is a bit tight in space. get a 120gb drive such as the crucial or mushkin chronos
4: h77 will not allow for overclocking. if you are to overclock, get z77 boards
5: no point of getting sandy bridge when ivy bridge chips are faster. get the i5 3550 if you are not to overclock and get i5 3570k if you do. if you are to overclock, get a aftermarket heatsink such as the hyper 212 evo
  2. Okay but no compatibility issues that you see?

Is this a US build? Because if that's US dollars and your purchasing in the US then something is very wrong with that total price. Also you went over kill on your psu. A 520w - 550w psu will easily push that build. If want the option to add another card later on then you want a 750w psu and a board meant for dual cards.

nope not at all. read why_me's comment first
  5. Yes this is a US build, I'm buying all the components from newegg.com. If you don't mind will you build me a rig from parts from newegg or amazon? Only preferences are i5-2500k sandy bridge, GeForce 560 Ti, 1920x1080 res monitor, and 8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM. Thanks!

This is a copy & paste from a previous build I posted today. Just switch out that RAM for the Corsair if that's what you prefer. The Corsair RAM is linked down below this build.

I just edited that post (build) again to bring the price down even more. Most states don't charge for tax when you use amazon so that may help also.
  10. wait so which CPU should i use if i'm not going to OC or add a video card later?

It would be this right down here. Good call btw seeing how over clocking any 1155 cpu doesn't net you much at all in regards to gaming.

  12. I don't need the 212 evo heatsink if i get the i5-3550 cpu right? And is 4gb of ram enough?

4GB is fine for a gaming build, and no you don't need that heat sink if your not over clocking. I would go with the 3450 as it won't make any noticeable difference, and size up to 8GB of RAM.
  14. Jordannn15 said:

Go back to that 4GB set I linked you to. That old school Corsair Dominator is 1.65v RAM and it will mess up the memory controllers on these 1155 boards. You want 1.5v RAM like that 4GB set I linked. Otherwise that build you have up there looks good. :)
