Hellow.
I am building a new computer and have chosen what I want after some recommendations of this amazing community.
So... I have a CPU question.. What should I get? I will be video editing, gaming and some small tiny bit of 3D work (Just some small Maya screw around and some Element 3D) Which CPU should I get? i7 3770k... Or i5 3570k and get an aftermarket cooler (FRIO OCK Open to discussion here) and 8 GB more RAM (Will it benifit because its expensive). But you see in Vegas I will use GPU acceleration.. So will it matter then? And I know an overclocked 4GHZ i5 beats a 3.5GHZ i7 in gaming. So you think I should go i5? But the difference in 3.5GHZ i7 vs i5 wont be much because neither should bottleneck a 7950. Thanks!
Edit: OK! SO IT IS OVERCLOCKED i5 vs ORDINARY i7! OMG! For both gaming and video editing. And maybe IF I go i5.. I can squeeze 12GB RAM out of the 8 of i7.

I'd go i7 as the GPU acceleration won't accelerate everything and the i7's hyperthreading will really help with video editing.

But will it outperform an overclocked i5? Because if I go i5 I can afford an aftermarket cooler.

i5 doesn't have hyper threading so i7 is better for editing if you can afford it.

If you are only doing a small bit then i5 will do

I CAN afford it.. But I wont have money left for an aftermarket cooler. SO QUESTION IS.. OVERCLOCKED i5 vs i7!

I would still go i7. Worst comes to worst you get the cooler in a couple months.

The problem I cant upgrade because my father is in charge of me (Hence my age) So I have to get everything now. But no worries.. Will afford the CPU cooler. :D
