Hey,

Ok I got a problem I set my display to 85Hz and it stays at 60Hz. I've searched everywhere has anyone got a clue or a link to a solution(if there is one, I'm hoping there is).

System specs are:
P4 2.8GHz
Gigabyte GA-8IHXP
Hercules 9700Pro
4x256Mb Samsung RDRam
Turtlebeach santa cruz
western digital 120Gb SE

my monitor is a Sony X72 LCD
I'm using the monitor on vga and not dvi as I know that dvi is only supported upto 60Hz, but with vga connector it supports 280x1024/85 max.

Thanks in advance

Refresh rate does not really matter with LCDs, it is actually recommended to leave it at 60hz.

At higher refresh rates Image Quality can deteriorate on LCDs.

i've never heard of an lcd with over 75 hz refresh rate. I've also heard that anything over 60 can deteoriate the image. And don't worry about it being 60hz, lcds don't refrsh like crts. The refresh rate is just for video card compatibility from what i've read.
