How can I permanently disable a start up service or regular service. I have
one on my computer that is messing with my Internet Explorter. Every time I
try and stop it, it restarts faster than I can delete the files. I am running
XP SP2. I do not know how to make the msconfig changes permanent either.

Hi

If you have tried to disable a particular Service, and it restarts, then it
may be a Windows specific one that is needed for your system to run
properly. Is it a Windows Service, or a 3rd party one?
