Hello
I have 2 GTX 285s in SLI and I want an upgrade. Please no biased answers. I would like to know what would be a reasonable and realistic solution. These are the only cards I'm looking at so don't bore yourself with other suggestions. I game at 1920x1080P

Thanks in advanced,
Ferro

680. Hands down. Maybe wait for a non reference model, the Palit one looks amaaaazing.

all are just fine for 1080p they will all max out the games on a 1080p monitor but remember the GTX 680 is faster stock and the 7970 is a faster card when both OCed

depends on your country. outside the USA, the 7970 is mostly cheaper. (price hikes on new products)

OP, get whichever is cheaper out of the 7970 or 680. i paid extra for a 680, but i have a 3d monitor. if i didn't have the monitor, i'd have gone with the 7970 to save some cash.

Well the cheapest Radeon 7970 is $529 and comes with 3gb Vram and the cheapest 680 well they are OUT OF STOCK and it cost $499 so $30 and 1gb of Vram is not much difference really unless you are part of the 2% whom run an HD+ monitor and owns a high end card.

The MSI Lightning 7970 look EPIC. Yeah GTX 680s are out of the market, but considering this new tech that comes with the 680 such as the Adaptive VSYNC and the NVIDIA Frame Rate Target, is it worth it?

This 680 has higher clocks than the 7970 Lightning, http://www.palit.biz/palit/vgapro.php?id=1872 < Also EPIC

sorry? I'm really just wondering if its a huge benefit at all. Also GTX 680 Classified is said to have 4GB of VRAM... win? Considering what I have now i just want something to last me another 3- 4 years
