Hi all,

right so my power supply is very much positively dead,
so i am asking which psu to get ?

my last psu was 1000w and didnt really fit in my case all that well so that was abit overkill :non:
my current system specs are :
i5 3450
Gigabyte p67-ud3-b3
7 gig of DDR3 ram
2x amd HD6870's
1tb samsung spinpoint
and a fan controller with 4 fans (if that of any relevance or help)

i have done a abit of reserch and the max wattage my pc will ever go to is 540W
so i have a reasonable priced psu in mind but i need some help with this ,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Be-Quiet-STRAIGHT-POWER-E7-600W-PSU-bequiet-power-supply-/300715046530?pt=UK_Computing_PowerSupplies_EH&hash=item4604037682

yeah i know buying psu's from ebay are a BIG no no BUT the company is a trusted seller and has an actual website but i find ebay easier

The highest i can go is £50-£60 UK sellers only please !

Sorry for the long wright up

looks really good BUT unfortunately in the UK that psu costs almost $110 and i am very tight on money at the moment :(

That be quiet! unit would probably be okay. I don't know what it performs like though.
The only obvious issue I can see is that it only has three PCIe connectors, but a build with two 6870s needs four PCIe connectors.
There are adapters to get the fourth PCIe connector. They sometimes come with graphics cards, otherwise you'd have to buy one.

Here is an example:

OCZ ZS Series 750W (£60 @ CCL Online)

It is known to be high quality and has four PCIe connectors.
