Hey guys,

I have been doing a bit of research into upgrading my system over the past couple of days. I currently have a AMD Athlon II x4 630 2.8GHz CPU, 8gb of DDR2 ram, Radeon HD 5850 and a Biostar TA770E mobo.

I use my system for gaming (mainly on BF3 and a few strategies) and I dont really have any problems with it. I manage to run BF3 on high with no problems.

I have picked out a few products to replace my gear, and I am just wondering if it is truly worth spending the money on it?

(Now I know that the ideal solution would be to get an Intel processor, but I am a bit constricted with the amount I can spend, so I have opted to go for AMD).

AMD Bulldozer FX-6100 Black Edition 3.30GHz Six Core Processor. I chose this over getting the AMD Phenom II X4 965 because from spec sheets, I have seen that the 6100 can support faster RAM (up to 1833 compared to 1333 with the Phenom).

Next up is the mobo, I have chosen to go with the Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0.

RAM, I have chosen the Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) Memory Kit PC3-15000 1866MHz DDR3 .

Will I see a good improvement in performance if I perform this upgrade?
