Best Motherboard for my build?

Hi,

I've been looking at the Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3 motherboard, but if there is anyting better for the price/performance please tell me, I was looking at the P8Z77-V board too - not sure which one is better, here is my setup so far:

Intel i5 "2500K CPU
Sapphire 6870 ATX12V PSU
Seasonic 620 PSU
Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb RAM
Sony 24x DVD-RW
Cool Master Elite 430 Case
Seagate 500GB HD
Enermax Fans (x2)
TP-Link Wi-Fi Card

So please recommend me a motherboard, thanks!

personally i would have gotten ivy bridge. it is faster and has a lot more features. if you are to get ivy bridge, get hte i5 3570k and the gigabyte z77x-ud5h

if you are to get sandy bridge, get the gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3 or the z68-v PRO or the one you suggested

As it's better than the 2500K and the same price - And I'd prefer Asus so I'll go with the P8Z68-V/GEN3 motherboard

For i5-2500K that Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3 motherboard, is good another choice to consider ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 $119.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271#top as TheBigTroll said if you are to get ivy get the i5 3570k but i would Go with a Gigabyt UD5, ASUS V Pro, or an MSI GD65,or an ASRock Z77 Extreme6. These are all excellent boards for overclocking as well.

it isnt better at all.you will lose the igpu completely and lose quicksync.

What is the different between the P8Z68-V/GEN3 and P8Z77-V? :/

The Gen3 is supposedly PCIe 3.0 ready, but you need an IB CPU and MOBO to use it in the future.

that board and ram will do you fine. if you plan to sli (if you get nividia cards) the lx will not work. it will work for crossfire fine
