Sapphire 6950 2gb 11188-22 OC?

Hey everyone, does anyone know or has anyone heard of this card? I just found it on Newegg, apparently its brand new, and still comes with the dual-bios feature. I like how my card performs (model 100312-3l), and would like to pair it up with a card of similar make. My model isn't available anywhere, so I found this one. It's listed for $249.99 w/free shipping.

I wonder if they laser cut the shaders, or just re-released this card as just a pre-overclocked deal (820 core vs. 800). The OC seems pretty minimal to release as a separate card. Anyone know about this card?

If you are going crossfire you can get any 6x card. Overclocking while in crossfire really does not do a lot.
Have you not flashed one of the bios to 6970? My m8 did it without any problems, you could have xfire 6970 cheap!

Yea, just checked Newegg. That's the card I was looking for a month and a half ago. Too bad, I would get it without any hesitation if not for the GTX670 coming about next month.

This is probably refurbished card as manufacturers stopped making them ago.

No, I used the bios switch on the card that unlocked the 1536 shaders, but kept the stock clocks and voltages. This card is pretty horrible at OC'ing (hated voltage from Sapphire Trixx). So, I just kept the shaders unlocked which helped a little bit.

Sonny, what kinda specs are we looking at for the 670? I'm curious, because I could crossfire, or just sell my one 6950 for some cash and go Nvidia.

Right now, I'm running a Hybrid setup with my 6950 and old nvidia 9800gt for PhysX support.
