Hi.

I've had Antec 300 for over a year now, and I feel the urge to add some new fans to it. The only case fans is the two stock fans that came with the case, 1x 140mm on the top and 1x 120mm at the rear. I see there is place for 2 more fans in the front, which i reckon is 120mm, and 1 on the side. However, I don't know which ones to buy. I've heard some good words about the Enermax T.B. Silence and the Scythe Gentle Typhoon, but I actually have no clue which one to buy. I have a quite large CPU-fan in my Case(Hyper 212+), read somewhere that might be a problem. Do you guys have any suggestions?

I installed two 120mm Antec 3speed fans in the front of my 300 case just like the one that came preinstalled on the rear of the case, also I installed a Gelid FN-PX12-15 on the side of the case and hooked up to a 4pin PWM header on the motherboard.

Due to availability and price in my country, I went with 2x Yate Loons for the front. I don't think I will be needing the side fan.

I have two of these cases as well for a gaming pc and a home server.

The side fan is nice for video card cooling, or if you want to keep positive pressure (more air intake than output) in the case while running your front/side fans on a lower speed setting.

I have addded super silent cooler master fans in front in my Antec300. I think this is more than enough cooling for my pc. I didnt see the need for installing a side fan because my gfx isnt running hot when gaming. Also the side fan doesnt have a dust filter so not having a dust filter will drastically increase the amount of dust that will end up in your case.

I heard that the side fan works good as an exhaust fan for the GPUs.

Side fans are always pushing air in while rear and top pushes air out. Doing other wise will kill the air flow in the computer. Hot air rises and cold air sinks to the bottom and the side fan on an antec 300 is nowhere near the top of the case.
