Hello, I have two GTX 580s in SLI, each with 2 DVI slots per card. I decided to hook up a second old monitor to the system. The second monitor functions correctly whether I plug it into the same video card as my primary monitor or the second card. I was just wondering if there was any advantage in plugging the monitors into their own cards or if it doesn't make a difference with SLI.

Well in general when cards are in sli their power is put together so you can get 2x the graphical power. So plugging 1 monitor into each would not do anything because the graphic power is shared.

I don't think it'll do anything, but I don't have that much experience on SLI, so try it out!
