About 6.5 year old thermal compound

So I bought some Artic Silver 5 about 6.5 years ago that hasn't been used or open. Can I still use it for a new build?

It should be fine. As long as it isn't hard (dried out) it should give you no problems. If it really bother you or if you are unsure you can buy another tube. Really thermal paste is pretty cheap, it's usually in the range of only 10 or 11 dollars.
