Using separate internet access (OS/VM)

Last response: in Networking

Hello,

I have two different internet connections at home (Cable / ADSL).

It is possible to dedicate the Cable to my main Windows OS and the ADSL to a Virtual Machine (VMWARE WORKSTATION).

I want each connection to be separated. I want to only use ADSL when I am on the Virtual Machine and the cable when I am using my main OS.

Thank you for your help.

some food for thoughts:

I have not tried it myself but if you use two network cards windows will use one as the primary and will ignore the secondary one.

the thing I am not sure if you can configure the VM to use a different network card as the primary.

also the cable and DSL need to be on separate networks
