D-link xtreme n gigabit router - windows xp pc problem

I bought a new d-link xtreme n gigabit router. After easily setting it up to work with all of my newer devices (windows 7 wireless laptop, internet-ready tv, black-berry wi-fi, etc.) I ran into a problem with my windows xp emachines desktop. The desktop has a wireless card installed. I now get the message: limited or no connectivity - it says my network may not have assigned an ip addres to the computer. thoughts?

  1. How many wireless devices do you have?

Are you using WEP or WPA?
