I have installed windows 7 on my Desktop, installation procedure went softly till two reboots, From third reboot os starts hanging at startup logo.
At first, i was not able to rectify it. At last i found a way, that is when i loose the screws of the cpu fan, os resumes and everything will work fine. But when i restart again it hangs at the startup logo. This time i will tight the screws and again os resumes. This process is continues.
I am doing this thing at the startup logo itself. I am not able to find the permanent solution.. Is it the processor Problem.
I don't think that the CPU fan screws have anything to do with your problem and that it is probably a coincidence that when you touch the screws the behavior changes. Most Windows 7 install problems are memory related, try removing and refitting the memory, run memtest86 for three passes from a bootable CD to test the memory.
