Hey guys, just installed my 965. running it at stock speeds and volts right now just to get baseline benchmarks. One thing i noticed is that coretemp reads my temps at 47-50C under full load with my cpu fan at 90-100%
My cooler is a large evga cooler with a 120mm van mounted on it. my case is full of fans with great airflow. Now, when coretemp was reading 50-51C, asus overclock utility (or one of the OC apps asus provides) was reading the cpu temp as 40-42C. Usually i go with the higher number (core temps reading) but i feel that the asus utility is correct. Im on stock volts with a large cooler...
what do you guys think? The heatsink is not warm to the touch or hot or anything.
