Hello,
Im going to buy a gaming computer and im confused by that the AMD processors are so much cheaper than the Intel. Should i save the money and go with the AMD FX-8150 3.60 GHz Eight-Core AM3+ CPU 8MB L2 Cache & Turbo Core Technology. Or go with the Intel® Core™ i7-3770K 3.50 GHz 8MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1155. Both builds are in my price range but if i went with the AMD i would have money to sink in a better graphics card.

The best processor for gaming right now is the Intel® Core™ i5-2500K or the Intel Core i5-3570K with the other Intel Core i5's following close behind. The reason why is that very few games can take advantage of more then 4 threads. For this reason hyper-threading and additional cores have very minimal value on a gaming system.

If you decide to go AMD in order to get a better graphics card, then there is not point in getting a FX-8150, while a $125 FX-4170 can get the job done.
