i have a budget of U.S. $200 for both the CPU and the motherboard. I dont care if its intel or amd, it would be great if it was 50/50 for the cpu and mobo as in $100 for cpu and $100 for mobo, but if not, then its ok. I plan to just brose the web and do some mid to low level gaming, nothing like bf3 since my gpu is a 9600gt which is pretty old. What i was thinking of getting for the cpu was the A8-5600k trinity ($109 newegg) and ASRock FM2A75 Pro4 ($79 newegg), but there might be better ones for the same price. Thanks

More about : cpu mobo 200

Here's my input:

Kamen is right, although that first amd board is out of stock on newegg P:

The first set has good 720p (low end 1080p game wise, but able to play 1080p youtube fine) APU graphics, for cheap. Might be better than your card actually. Trinity is also set for an upgrade path since the next gen is on the way and is supposed to be better.

The second set is set for an upgrade path that leads to haswell if you want. (cpu side)
The third is set for an AMD upgrade path, although I'm not sure if Phenom II is compatible with AM3+. (cpu side)

The last set is good as well. But the upgrade path isn't that great. Have to flash the bios for it to work with new cpus probably.

Its still better than my e4500 @2.2 which is on my computer right now. So do you think that the integrated graphics in the A10 is better than the 9600gt?

I don't know exactly, but it looks like the A-10 series would be on par at least. If not better when OC'd. (not sure about A8, but it might be as well)
The drivers would certainly be better though, more compatibility since Trinity supports Direct X11. Doesn't play crisis well on 1080p that's a fact.

btw Trinity also needs faster ram to fully utilize the gpu. 1600 at least, Trnity's gpu performance scales up linearly with faster ram. (reviews to that effect were done)

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-9600... You could compare this review to some Trinity reviews if you wanted, but new Trinity reviews use games that are harder on cpu/gpu than that review did..

Intel still would be better if you want to increase the graphics card later. Though Trinity works with graphics cards as well.. haa

(wow I said trnity so many times in tis post whta)

yes the integrated graphics in the A10 is better than the 9600gt. I would suggest the A10 and a A75 motherboard plus a decent but cheap cpu cooler to make it run quiet and allow overclocking.
